My review of the Jordan XX8

I’ve never been a sneaker head. I appreciate a good shoe when I see one, but I’m not that kind of guy who spends $80+ on shoes unless I really, really need them. Instead, I’m that guy who wears one pair of shoes for about four years until they are absolutely ripped to shreds. But those are just casual shoes. Basketball shoes are a different story. While I never have more than one pair on the go, I do like to switch them out every year, so I feel as though I know enough to shed my opinion on a new these new Jordans:

My Review

These new Jordan XXI are interesting. See, something you need to know about me is that I’m a sucker for black-on-black colourways. So these actually look good to me…in a weird way. I mean, they are kind of like Space boots (you know, the ones you wear when you go to the Moon), but there is something about them that I like (only when they are zipped up all the way though). The bottom half is simple and clean. The white Jumpman and heel is just enough for me to get on board with. And although it zips up pretty high, Russell Westbrook is living proof that they look swagalicious when sporting some mid-level socks. So on the looks department, they get a thumbs up from me.

But when I say I like them, it means I’d spend a MAXIMUM of $100 on these. Maybe $120. But not $250. That’s right, $250 big ones for a pair of Jordan XX8. And no, they don’t make you fly. I already asked.

If you do want to cop a pair of these, then you’ll be happy to know that they will be in stores nationwide sometime tomorrow. But while you wait, check out the new commercial for these shoes, which features some terrible wardrobe choices on Russell Westbrook’s behalf.
